HODGSON TAKES 2 IN A ROW IN S1

Hodgson doubles up on Super One victories with another round blitz at Larkhall.

Following on from his display at Glan-Y-Gors, Oliver Hodgson managed another fine weekend at Larkhall, near Glasgow for the fourth round of the Super One KGP British Championship.

A warm weekend throughout saw Hodgson set the pace in timed qualifying, even resulting in having three laps all good enough for pole position ahead of team mate Litchfield.

Heats 1 and 2 saw Hodgson only headed briefly before driving away serenely at the front by the races end. Two victories saw maximum points go towards another pole position for the first final.

The two finals saw a repeat of the heats, Ollie managed to put in a sequence of fast laps, teamed with great starts to lead from lights to flag, recouping another maximum possible points haul from the finals. Without the unfortunate events of Shenington Hodgson would have one hand already on the British Title, however he has proved to be the class of the field, as he aims for a repeat performance at Rissington in August.

WALK IN GLAN-Y-GORS PARK FOR OLLIE

Hodgson back on top to take both final wins at GYG, winning by over 10 seconds

Oliver Hodgson was back to winning ways for the third round of the Super One KGP British Championship. This round saw the championship head up to North Wales for the driver’s favourite circuit, Glan-Y-Gors Park.

After mixed weather in qualifying mixed up the order, Hodgson ended up starting the heats at the tail end of the pack after being caught out by the late changing conditions.

However at the end of the heats, Hodgson was back at sharp end. Heat 1 and in Heat 2 saw drives through the pack, besting Daniel Baybutt and Mark Litchfield in both.

Hodgson took pole for the first final and lead from lights to flag, pulling out a nice cushion on Litchfield as he tailed off near the end.

Final 2 was again under changing conditions, Ollie was not going to be denied this time, taking the win in dominant fashion, winning by over 10 seconds at the flag.
